Even by 2008 standards, a highly entertaining video! Relatively simple, it truly is an example of less is more. It doesn't need expensive CGI or special FX...it was enough for me to see the band just chilling out in a bar, talking to ladies, acting like regular guys! I've been a DM fan since 1999 and it has always amazed me that they've never had a #1 hit.

well because people have different traits and looks. people with intelligence differentiate between the tribes. yes clearly he is of the caucasoid(fair skinned and skull shape) grouping. but he also has different caucasoid tribal traits. i.e. britonic, anglo, celtonic, etc. there lot's of brittish types from welsh, cornish, anglo, saxon, etc etc. ireland actually has a lot of norse dna from viking invasions so it's not just, "well he's brittish" or "well he's irish". it's trickier than that.

Wondering how this person know's he's half Malay half English. Never saw this info before. Thought I read from an article some 10 years ago he was half Syrian half English. If that article can be wrong so can the person saying he's half Malay. Who knows maybe he is Malay English. Maybe his dad who skipped out on the family is Malay. Annabella from Bow Wow Wow is Burmese and English and the brothers Van Halen and half Indonesiand half Dutch but Gahan looks more white than the Van Halen bros.

This is what I found. I tried to look up on the net the origin of the name Gahan. I found it's a variation of some name from Ireland. Never heard of an Irish person named Gahan but it's rooted in the Irish. Then at another site someone asked what is Dave Gahan's ethic, someone thought he was East Indian (I don't see that unless he was half Indian and half English). Well someone posted he's half Malayasian and half English. His birth dad was Malay and mom English. This could make sense.

He is white yes, either of middle eastern and of middle eastern and English blood or Spanish blood as you might have suggested and English. He does remind me in his older years as the many middle easterners in the San Fernando Valley of So Cal. There is a large amount there (everything counts in large amounts :) ) in the Valley and he in his older age fits in well amoung them. Not stereotyping just saying he resembles them.

Thanks for the info. He could pass for a Spaniard that's true. Just the name Gahan sounds possibly middle eastern and I heard he's half Syrian and half English but I might be wrong. I never heard Jewish tho. I know his mom was quite a religious Christian but I guess that doesn't indicate any ethnic background tho.

Wouldn't you rather be born before the '80s like the late '60s so you could enjoy the '80s? If you were born in the '80s you would be an infant then and not enjoy it? I was born in 1967 so I was a teen in the '80s and was loving it.
