	Crisis in Modern Educational System - Dr. DVK Reddy, Principal, Chilkur Balaji Inst. Tech. mahaprabhu.net The 21st century faces its main crisis in biology in explaining consciousness. Prof Dr. DVK Reddy, Principal, Chilkur Balaji Institute of Technology thanked us for visiting his college for second time this year. He expressed that definitely we should be aware what life is. Today sometimes students do not express much respect for the elders and one of the main reasons is that we need motivation for both elders as well as students. Our bringing up is lacking is a sound spiritual basis. Today science is just a small part of what the vedic origin has addressed. We have to address sentience in the biological phenomenon. Darwin's theory does not address sentience. Many scientists have tried whatever they could to address sentience but they have not succeeded to provide a mechanical-chemical basis for sentience. The concept of atma as the basis of consciousness as given in Vedantic literature should be introduced to explain biological phenomenon to students and teachers alike. The crisis of 21st century biology and the failure of all the Darwinian paradigms even after 150 years of intense efforts should open our eyes and makes us more inclusive to include the vedantic concepts of living organisms. 	Is the Stand of Biology on Material Origin of Life Dogmatic? - Prof. Tapan Sau, IIIT--Hyderabad mahaprabhu.net Prof. Tapan Sahu discussed that life is not studied in its comprehensive totality. Most of the concepts of modern biology has been borrowed from Western ideas. We don't go that deep, but we do some introductory education in value education. We should try to study life. Is it some kind of stone, brick, wall or something beyond that? Life cannot be fully explainable as life. Prof. Tapan Sahu says chemical conditions giving rise to life is doubtful. To explore subjects like personality, thought, feelings and willing, the methodology must include something more than the scientific concepts of modern chemistry. He agrees that it may not be possible to identify an ultimate particle explaining the concept of cellular life and that consciousness must be the basis of the cellular life. 	Interview: Do We Need a Radical Change in the Syllabus of Biology to Achieve Healthy Ecosystem? mahaprabhu.net Subjective evolution means the Vedantic concept of life that soul passes from one body to another depending on the kind of consciousness. Environmental biologist Prof. MNV Prasad from Central university, Hyderabad explains that environmental cleanliness is essential for normal life. But greed of man is spoiling everything. There are many groups of scientists who have tried to discover chemical pathways for evolution theory. Some of them are Haldane, Sidney-Walter-Fox. All of them took different abiotic routes in an attempt to synthesize life in the laboratory. These include the aldehyde path, ketone path, Millers experiments and other paths, all these different schools of thought. But finally they could not synthesize the first life, or could not put life into them through any of these chemical pathways. We thus have to examine the role of man in the living community. We do not really understand ethics. We need to plan and bring in and investigate the question of soul and consciousness within biology by a multidisciplinary approach.
