	Political Systems Explained for Dummies Political Systems Explained for (Farmers) Dummies Using Two Cows The fundamental principles of the different types of political and social systems explained via a simple example using two cows. You heard right, COWS. If you know what a cow is and are aware of the fact that the produce more than just steaks for your dinner, such as milk, you are good to go and should have no problem to understand it. FEUDALISM: You have two cows. Your lord takes some of the milk. PURE SOCIALISM: You have two cows. The government takes them and puts them in a barn with everyone else's cows. You have to take care of all of the cows. The government gives you as much milk as you need. BUREAUCRATIC SOCIALISM: You have two cows. The government takes them and put them in a barn with everyone else's cows. They are cared for by ex-chicken farmers. You have to take care of the chickens the government took from the chicken farmers. The government gives you as much milk and eggs as the regulations say you need. FASCISM: You have two cows. The government takes both, hires you to take care of them and sells you the milk. PURE COMMUNISM: You have two cows. Your neighbors help you take care of them, and you all share the milk. RUSSIAN COMMUNISM: You have two cows. You have to take care of them, but the government takes all the milk. CAMBODIAN COMMUNISM: You have two cows. The government takes both of them and shoots you. 	What Really Is Important The title says it all "What Really Is Important". What now follows is just irrelevant legal mumbo-jumbo. :) .... I did not create the audio for this video. You might noticed the British accent of the guy speaking. I was born in Germany and have a German accent :). I found this audio file on my hard disk and thought that it would be a great idea to make a video out of it. I didn't remember at first where I got the MP3 file from, but now I found another version of the MP3 with the ID3 meta data still intact :). Audio credits have to go to: Alan Stewart and Andrew Winter from the The Marketer's Podcast at www.themarketerspodcast.com episode 33 from 2006. We get emotional about the things that are wrong in this world, start wanting to do something about it, but see that enthusiasm fade away quickly once the first obstacles show up on the way (which is usually happening shortly after we start doing something to change the world). We then start slowly to shift our interests away from those (unpleasant) subjects and continue with our life's, doing nothing... and never what we should do. This video is a reminder for all of us. 	Trinity & Beyond - Atomic Bomb Movie DVD DVD Menu video for my custom made Trinity and Beyond, the Atomic Bomb Movie DVD with some bonus videos. It shows in the background atomic bomb explosions and blast tests footage from nuclear tests. I also like my idea for the chapter naming of the documentary. Instead of just naming them Chapter 1 to 11, I used the names of the fist 11 US nuclear test explosions :). The video shows the menu animation for all three pages that I created, with each page 86 seconds in length. This is the end part of a 1947 educational video by the US government to educate people about the dangers of fascism and how things were possible to happen in Nazi Germany during the 1930s. The full video is over 17 minutes in length, but this last 1:30 minutes of it sum it all up nicely. I usually smile when I watch those old videos, because they are full of propaganda and black & white, typical for the cold war era, but this video was actually really good and is true today as it was over 50 years ago when it was made. This demo is more than just showing off programming, graphic design or musical skills. The members of Bomb! who created this demo made a statement and trying to get the message across to other people. The issues they were talking about in 1998 (pre 9/11) are even more important today than they were 10 years ago, when they created and released this demo into the public. 	Crazy Horse Memorial Documenary 2/2 The yet unfinished Crazy Horse Memorial mountain carving is located less than 30 minutes from the famous Mount Rushmore Presidential Memorial where the heads of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln were carved into the mountain rock for the eternity. The Crazy Horse mountain carving dwarfs the impressive Mt.Rushmore one in size and scale. Also the time to create it is an eternity compared to the Mt.Rushmore project. The sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski started working on it on June 3, 1948 and it is still far from being finished today. In contradiction to the the better known and federal funded Mt.Rushmore project is the Crazy Horse project entirely funded by the people who donate time, resources and money and by the admission to the visitor center and North American Indian Museum, which is located at the mountain base.
