	MOTHER3 - Black Beanling and Multiple Level-ups Whoo, Mother 3! Anyway. I've already beaten the game, despite my inability to read much Japanese. Video breakdown: Showing off all the character levels before the fight; everyone is at or around level 20 or 21. After the fight (hurray combos!), everyone managed to amass enough EXP to jump to levels 27 and 28. I then went down to the Hot Spring to heal, and proceeded to learn 7 PSI/PK techniques altogether (about 4 for Kumatora and 3 for Lucas). Sorry about the random running around, it seems that you have to be moving in order to trigger the "fever" that causes Lucas and Kumatora to learn new techniques (and you have to be moving with the "fever" to make it break). 	MOTHER3 - Big Scary Pig-Mask (redux) Whatever his name is, here's my vastly overleveled fight with the Big Scary Pig Mask (2nd time around). I didn't use the DCMC stuff as much as I normally would have, since I was overleveled. Lucas's PK LOVE(Alpha) isn't greatly powerful, but comboing with an emulator isn't that easy to pull off. I couldn't remember what element he was weak against, so I never used PK Fire against him (which probably would've made the fight a bit faster). My common usage of characters: Lucas - Attack and Support Duster - Debuff, Heal, Attack Kumatora - Attack, Debuff Boney - Use Battle Items, Attack Their inventories weren't too organized, so there's a bit of time lost scrolling to stuff for Boney and Duster, though to a lesser extent on Duster's part. Lucas's combo wasn't planned (as I said earlier, combos aren't easy emulated!); however it's funny that I just happened to botch it on the 12th hit - thus making a truly ridiculous, and not even funny , 11-hit combo. 	MOTHER3 - Iron-Ball Mechanical Gorilla Utilizing the Enemy Strengthening Potion and the Black Beanling, I've taken "Over-preparedness" to a new level... Level 50, to be exact - Lucas and Boney are at 50 even, while Kumatora and Duster are getting there. What does this mean for our poor chum, the Mechanical Gorilla? It means he gets his ass handed to him, that's what. Lucas, of course, begins the fight with a healthy cast of Shield Omega. Kumatora stuck to one cheap tactic - PK Thunder Gamma (Possible 3 hits). Duster used a smoke bomb and made the poor Gorilla cry, giving a couple misses here and there. Boney stuck to physical attacks. No great combo action, though I did manage a 9-hit with Duster. I wasn't trying to get anything perfect. All in all, it obviously pays to level up obsessively. I didn't even have to use Lifeup Omega. 	MOTHER3 - Dazzling Smile The Dazzling Smile is a rare enemy that can be found after and during Chapter 5 - up until Chapter 8, when you lose access to its spawn location. It's located on the Highway area; though I haven't found an exact spot for it. I used the westernmost tunnel (Note that it's an actual TUNNEL, and not the westernmost part of the map!) in this video. It doesn't make you as rich as the Master Bowwow can; but it's significantly weaker; though it can make your party cry, as well as shield itself from and use some PSI - so be aware of that when fighting it. The Dazzling Smile, when you're lucky enough to find and kill it, gives a fair 90 EXP and adds 2,000DP to your DP account. 	MOTHER3 - Master Bowwow The Master Bowwow is a rare enemy that can be found after and during Chapter 4 (until Chapter 8, at which point you can no longer visit its spawn area). It doesn't always spawn - but when it does, you can consider yourself lucky... if you can kill it. The Master Bowwow is worth 869 DP each, and will always drop a Meteotite bar upon death - an unusable item that NPCs for 2500DP each. Its EXP isn't too bad either, at 2,032 EXP. This vid, of course, shows off where you can find this rare monster. If you can't tell, it's the pond one screen west of the Club Titiboo lift, as well as one screen east of the Chimera Laboratory. 	MOTHER3 - New Yokuba + Pulling the Second Needle Yokuba, easily the most annoying; yet interesting character in the game (in my opinion, at least)... Since the incident at the Thunder Tower, he's become a bit less man, and a lot more machine. He can't even speak normally anymore, and has to make use of a robotic translator to talk for him. Lucas starts off the fight with a slight difference - rather than use Shield Omega, I use Counter Omega. Since Yokuba is pretty much purely physical, that means he'll only be hurting himself when he hurts me. Kumatora keeps it up with the PK Thunder Gamma spam; meanwhile Duster fruitlessly uses Smoke Bombs in an attempt to make Yokuba cry (unfortunately, none of them worked... crappy luck). Boney makes use of his shiny Shield Stealer for the first time, and then starts using some Salt Water Guns (works best on machine-type monsters). Near the end, Yokuba tries to save himself from a humiliating defeat by wolfing down a First-Class Banana. Unfortunately for him, my overleveled team won't have any of that, and quickly whittle his HP back down. Yes, I did get some combo action in. Hooray for combos! 	MOTHER3 - "Roe Man" Mini-boss There's only one of these in the game (as far as I know), and it's found underwater. It protects the Amazing Crown, a head-item for Lucas with decent Defense and an enchantment that increases his max PP count by 30. For someone like me, the "Amazing" series of items (Amazing Cape, Mystical Sceptre, Amazing Ring) make the best outfit for Lucas - they all boost his PP count and they all come with a fair defensive value. Anyhow, the Roe Man's a fair opponent (unless you're overleveled); and has one of the electric guitar themes - so, why not film me kicking the crap out of it? 	MOTHER3 - "Eddy Tide" Monster Keeping with the series of movies already uploaded, the next boss - the Whirlpool monster; whose name literally translates to "Eddy tide". The further along you get, the less 'massively overleveled' your characters are - especially if you're not running through Tazmily Forest for Black Beanlings. I'm still a bit over-leveled for this fight, though. Unfortunately, I'm too lazy to go back and re-film the fight; so you'll have to deal with a useless cast of Psycho-ShieldΩ and a usage of Boney's Shield Stealer during the fight. 	MOTHER3 - Masked Boy I skipped the Zombie Mushroom and Break Down Trio fights - recording them didn't work out too well, and I felt it just wouldn't be entertaining or interesting. So, here's the next boss - finally getting to fight the Masked Boy for the first time. Everyone's levels were much more beefed-up for this fight, because I hunted for Lucas's Mystical Sceptre and ran into a load of trouble finding it! Everyone was around 63-64 in level for this fight, meaning that Kumatora and Lucas have learned all their PSI but for story-event PSI. This fight follows suit with many of the others - Lucas casts CounterΩ, then spams PKLOVE(highest version) until he can't anymore. Kumatora now has an awesomely powerful attack, PKGround; so she uses that exclusively. Duster resorts to physical attacks and combo attempts. Boney steals the boy's shield, then beats on him. 	MOTHER3 - Miracle Yokuba The final confrontation with Yokuba, Miracle Yokuba is a joke... when you're level 65-ish. Lucas casts CounterΩ, then PKLOVEΩ for the rest of the fight. Kumatora casts PKStarstorm for the entire duration of the fight. Duster attacks, Boney attacks (stealing a shield or two, when it's needed). Yokuba again tries to heal himself near the end, but all for naught - Kumatora's PK Starstorm deals over 700 damage to him, and he only manages to heal up ~550HP. The final result? "He adds, in a tiny voice, 'Nuehehehe'. Yokuba will now crash." And that's it for Yokuba. It's been fun fighting you, bud, but sometimes you just gotta admit defeat and give up. 	MOTHER3 - Natural Killer Cyborg (Fight version 1) The Natural Killer Cyborg... One of the ultimate in Pig-Mask Army technology. Practically a killing machine, this badass machine actually managed to kill my level 73 Lucas off on my first filming of the fight. Of course, I couldn't have that, could I? Nah, I re-filmed the fight and kept everyone alive. Lucas casts CounterΩ and of course, after that it's a simple spam of PKLOVEΩ. Kumatora begins and ends with a constant stream of PK Starstorm. Duster and Boney fulfil their common roles in my fights - physical attacking and an occasional battle item. While trying to make this fight more entertaining, or at least clean, I managed to get a slightly more...interesting fight. That'll be uploaded next. The Cyborg's a little weird in that its battle name is "NK Cyborg", but it's actually called by its full name once before the fight. As such, I've got two romanizations for you all. 	MOTHER3 - Pokey-Bots Pokey really loves himself. That's why he had a number of Pokey-bots created - robots in his boyish likeness. They're not really tough, but when they explode it hurts a bit. If you're not careful you can get your ass handed to you, regardless of level. There are 7 Pokey-bots in all, and most of this fight is simple combo action, occasional healing. 	MOTHER3 - Pokey The final (serious) battle of the game; versus the big man himself. Pokey, the orchestrator behind all the trouble the Pig-Mask Army has caused; now a doddering old man with the mind of a child. He's got a lot of tricks up his sleeve, and even his fight messages are somewhat obscure - only ever saying he "did something". My party makes ridiculously short work of him. He saves himself from death once his mech-walker has been destroyed, by locking himself inside the "Absolutely Safe Capsule"; however... unfortunately for him, Dr. Andonuts has modified the Capsule so that it cannot be opened once activated. 	MOTHER3 - Holy Crap, two Soot-Dumplings! The Susudango/Soot Dumpling is a rare enemy found in Chapter 1, after the rain has put out the fire. As far as I know, it can ONLY be found in this chapter. It has incredibly high defense, and gives 1,000 EXP on death - it's the Black Beanling for Flint. It only appears on one screen, but apparently, it's not restricted to only one! In this video fluke, I (playing as Flint) take out not one, but -two- Susudango that have appeared at Lighter's cabin. Hold your applause for my awesome combo action.
